How to get here

Hotel Gem Land is located 5 minutes drive or 20 minute walk from Ratnapura Central Bus Station. Direct bus lines such as number 99 leaves Colombo main bus stand in Pettah hourly. Please click the links below for comprehensive details of bus routes in and out of Ratnapura. 

 Colombo Bus Routes

Buses available from Pettah (Colombo main station) to Ratnapura.

Route 122 Ratnapura - Only non air conditioned buses available (approximately Rs. 150.00)

Route 122 Embilipitiya - Both air conditioned buses (around Rs.400.00) and non air conditioned buses leave Pettah every hour on most days.

Route 99 Badulla -  Both air conditioned and non air conditioned buses available. Please note that Air Conditioned buses sometimes may not take passengers only going to Ratnapura, therefore pay extra to purchase a ticket to Bandarawella and get off in Ratnapura. Non air conditioned buses will gladly take you but is less cofortable and makes more stops. 

Ratnapura Bus Routes

Hotel Gem Land is located on Mudduwa road, very close to Muwagama Temple. After passing the town square (Clock tower junction), go towards Colombo, take a left at Muwagama Junction, follow road and cross Muwagama Bridge. As you approach the Muwagama temple, take a left to Mudduwa Road. Go less than 100m on Mudduwa Road, the Hotel is up the paved walkway up a hill. Parking is available up the paved path.
